Umore Laboratories was born out of curiosity, resilience, and an obsession with rethinking wellness. But to understand Umore, you have to understand the journey that led here.

At 21, I left a small town in upstate New York and drove cross-country to Los Angeles, chasing a dream of becoming a fashion stylist. I landed an internship at a fashion house in DTLA, but survival required more than just ambition—I needed a job. That search led me to a cannabis dispensary, and what started as a side hustle quickly became my true calling.

Cannabis wasn’t just another plant—it was personal. My father had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s when I was 14, and suddenly, I had access to an entire world of alternative healing that traditional medicine never talked about. I threw myself into learning everything I could about plant medicine, from ancient herbal remedies to cutting-edge science. I helped people from all walks of life—athletes, veterans, chronic pain sufferers—anyone looking for answers beyond pharmaceuticals.

Cannabis was just the beginning. It was the gateway that opened my eyes to the vast intelligence of nature and the endless world of botanical medicine. It led me to explore adaptogens, mushrooms, minerals, and the forgotten healing traditions that have existed for centuries. What started as curiosity became a way of life.

Then, in 2022, my world shifted. My Saturn return hit hard, pulling me away from the fast-paced industry I had built my career in. I went to Portugal to recharge and reground, but instead, I found myself facing my biggest challenge yet—a life-altering health diagnosis. I was told my only option was a lifetime of pharmaceuticals, but I love a challenge. I chose another path, one rooted in holistic healing, radical self-experimentation, and trusting the body’s innate intelligence.

Through it all, nature has been the only constant—the one thing that never fails. Whether it was the healing power of plants, the grounding energy of the ocean, or the quiet wisdom of the mountains, I always found my way back to it.

At Umore Laboratories, wellness is more than a routine—it’s a way of life. Drawing from the Italian word umoré, meaning "mood," our brand is rooted in the belief that real transformation happens when you align your inner and outer worlds.

From the beginning, I was always creating—vision boards, mood boards, piecing together aesthetics and ideas that inspired me. Umore became an extension of that—a wellness mood board in product form. A place where I could take my trials and tribulations and alchemize them into something meaningful. A vessel for creativity, transformation, and purpose.
